Britain’s longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II is no more. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral, Scotland, on 8th September 2022. The Queen was 96 years old at the time of death.

Earlier in the day, Buckingham Palace reported that the doctors were concerned for her health. During the time, doctors had recommended she be under medical supervision. Just hours after Buckingham Palace announced that doctors were worried for her health, Princess Edward, Andrew, and William were seen arriving at Balmoral Castle.

The Royal Family confirmed the news: The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and return to London tomorrow.

As Queen Elizabeth II’s death news spreads, hundreds and thousands of tearful crowd gathered outside Buckingham Palace. 

The Queen ascended to the throne back in 1952, after the passing of her father, King George VI. She was the longest-reigning British monarch who spent seven decades serving the people. She had ruled over the United Kingdom and fourteen other Commonwealth realms. She is one of the most recognizable women ever in history.

As per her recent activities, she had travelled to her private Scottish home to start her traditional summer break. On 6th September, the Queen received ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson before she greeted Liz Truss. 

After the demise of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles has now immediately become King. While announcing the death of Queen Elizabeth, the Royal family referred to him as the King. In the tween, Camila was referred to as the Queen Consort. II.

The Queen devoted to her duties until the very last days

Queen Elizabeth II repeatedly made a vow throughout her record-breaking reign. The Queen might not have been born to be a monarch, but when she ascended to the throne, she committed her time fully to duty and service.

Following the Duke of Edinburgh’s death back in April 2021, she returned to her royal duties with typical steadfastness. Just a month after his death, she made her public appearance looking “strength and stay.”

The Queen tested positive for COVID-19 back in February 2022. However, she returned to her duties, only suffering from mild cold-like symptoms.
